The showcased images both above and below exemplify some of our displays, sources of immense pride featured in our school hall. Each class delved into the lives of inspirational figures, crafting works that celebrate and highlight their distinctive and protected characteristics.

Here are some recent, artistic creations made by the children at our school:

Children in Year 5 and 6 studied Islamic art. They designed & created their own Islamic tile with geometric patterns using clay.

Children in Year 1 and 2 studied artist Paul Klee. They learnt to mono, block and relief print to recreate their own ‘Castle and Sun’ inspired by Klee.

Children in Year 3 and 4 studied artist Claude Monet. They created their own nature landscape by painting like an Impressionist using water colours.

Children in Year 3 and 4 studied artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo. They created their own portrait by sketching and painting fruits & vegetables to create a face.

Children in Year 1 and 2 studied artist Takashi Murakami. They created their own art inspired by him by drawing using different shapes.

Children in Year 5 and 6 studied artist Pablo Picasso. They created their own ‘cubism’ styled portrait by colour mixing and using paint.

Children in EYFS studied artist Emily Kame Kngwarreye. They created their own Aboriginal inspired art by printing patterns and creating images with dots.

Children in Year 5 and 6 studied artist Angie Lewin. They created their own botanical themed art through lino printing.

Children in Year 1 and 2 studied artist and author Oliver Jeffers. They created their own story book character through drawing and sculpture.

Children in Year 3 and 4 studied artist Banksy. They created their own graffiti art to spread an important message by using spray paints and stencils.

In Art club, children in KS2 have been studying and creating their own prints inspired by Indian art/designs.
