Brookside Fundraising Group

I am sure that many of you know about the Brookside Fundraising Group (BFG), but for those of you who do not, the group is made up of both parents and teachers from the school. The aim of the BFG is to raise funds for the school which help our children in various ways.

We would like to start by thanking all the many parents and friends of Brookside School who support our events.

The largest two events organised by the BFG each year are the Summer Fete and Fireworks Night and with the continued support from you all, the BFG have been very successful. This year we have raised a great amount of money which was allocated to the following projects:

Subsided various school trips
Forest school project
Robinwood Trip
Year 6 Trip
Climbing Wall

In addition the BFG have set aside the cost to pay for the children’s Christmas meals this year. We have also paid for several theatre groups to come into school for all the children to enjoy.

We will be having our AGM in October and are keen to attract as many new committee members as possible. A lot of our existing committee will be leaving because their children have left Brookside so we are very keen to replace them with new faces.
